Immerse yourself in the culture of Cornwall with this indulgent, fun and educational session. We’ll meet the boats coming in to the harbour and collect our freshly landed crab and lobster.

We’ll take our bounty up to my nearby coastal Edwardian terrace above Newquay Bay and settle in to a sociable feast, whilst learning all the skills of getting the most out of your shellfish.

The sessions includes:

• A demo and tasting of lobster sashimi

• A skills demo followed by hands-on whole crab feast

• A skills demo followed by hands-on whole lobster feast.

• Prosecco, wine and accoutrements of garlic butter and bread

You will leave with new skills, good memories and perhaps some leftovers for a crab sandwich or lobster roll the next day, dependent on your appetites.

I’ve experienced a breadth of seafood culture, from running my own seafood bar, to tournament fishing in the Caribbean and have been working closely with Newquay’s fishermen for many years and helped them organise direct to customer sales when the first lockdown hit in 2020.
